Hi all, yes, thats a pretty bold title, but trust us when we say this is what you have all been waiting for. We are about ready to drop a bombshell ;)
As hundreds of people in the support system have been reminding us, yesterday was the last day of March and we still haven't dropped the M2 release. That's all about to change.
There is going to be a HUGE update to NLD within the next 48 hrs, hopefully sooner.
Anti rollback on any firmware is totally defeated. We have found a brand new method that allows a straight flash from any firmware, to any other firmware without the step to intermediate ones. This, combined with the new flashing system should ensure a 100% complete flash on any bird to any compatible firmware. Not even DJI does this!
Oh, speaking of flashing and downgrading, this one is huge. For the first time ever, firmware flashing with NLD will be 100% FREE!! This is a great win for the community and of course allows new NLD customers to test out one aspect of our software before the commit to purchasing the full version, we hope you enjoy this change.
Lastly, full details of exactly what is included in adding the Mavic 2 to our platform will come with the release notes, but trust us, this will have been worth the wait!
Let us tie up a couple of loose ends, get some final testing in and look for the new update coming to your NLD very soon.
PS, no, this is NOT an April fools joke!

Did you mean 480 hours?
You may want to stop giving yourself deadlines that you are unable to meet. Releasing a quality finished product is far more important than a deadline or catering to the impatient.
Thanks for the hard work! Excited to see the finished product when it is ready.
Please don't rush things, Peacefully ignore the impatient users here, We care about the effort you Gentlemen put in your Application so it can work perfectly without issues, Thanks to everyone who contributed on this awesome project of yours!
Think back to when the MP1 hit the market and we had to bow to the demands of DJI, with their crap no-fly zones and all the other glitches in their damn software.
Would you rather have a piece of software that does exactly what it says on the label, or a buggy piece of crap that potentially you will lose your drone with.
The team have put in a massive amount of time on trying to get this release out. Bear in mind they have families and they have a day job to do to put food on the table. What they do is just a side line to try and help us get our drones the way we want them.
Instead of given them a hard time and taking the pi$$ all the time, have a little patience.
If you cannot be patient and just want to have a go at the devs, then I suggest you go find another product that will unlock your birds, remove the NFZ, give you full access to the system, and 100's of more tweaks............ Oh crap...... I forgot...... THERE IS NOBODY ELSE..... So lets all behave... "good things come to those who wait"......
End of sermon.
This isnt some charity this is a business that sells a product. They gave a firm timeline and missed that timeline. Any reputable business would have addressed this by now.
Ive been patiently waiting since this post but it appears to be either a hoax or just another example of incompetent communication from this company.
-Kill the "LIGHTS"
-Mixed Firmware
Boy wouldn't that be GREATTTT!!
Some people really should learn that development requires a strick release plan, every new fix has the potential to cause other things to break. Each new commit to the code branch requires validation, if they don't follow this path, you will probably get a flying brick that goes where ever it wants without giving a shit about what your two meat sticks tell it.
So, stop being so uneducated and be patient.
I should make some decals and send them to those great NLD workers.
Keep up the great work
Not sweating the delay is the brief updates we get on how awesome it will be is enough for me.
Therapy Tomorrow but once I get home if able to after the hunny do list. My I2 is getting a costume Skin job.

This I2 is going to streak through the sky looking like Tron on Crack with NLD 1.9
I am going to jump into the fray. Please be patient. It will be so worth your wait. Yes we missed the deadline. No, this was no April fools joke, and those who think it is...bwahahahahaha...NOPE. This is a total REWRITE of NLD. Huge update, so it's not just M2 support added.
Thank you to those who spend the time to not just complain, but understand what it takes to put this together.
We want NLD to be second to none, and not just the only program on earth that can do what we do. If it were easy, wouldn't you find alternatives out there? We are not sitting around doing nothing. We want the release as much as you guys do! Thank you for your patience and putting your drones in our hands. We won't let you down.

I know the issues of coding as do many others. I don't usually comment, but some people were being a little bit rude and I felt obliged to say something.
When your ready my friends. Just be sure to send an email to the mailing list so we all know when it's up there and live.
Thanks again for being so thorough.
Keep up the GREAT work guys @ NLD's and stay true to the cause "A free bird is a happy bird'! "
We 10000% intended, as always, to meet the release goal that we set, however as you have all figured out, we ran into some issues (not unexpected really considering the wholesale change that.s happened to NLD and the extra secret sauce that is being added in.
Remember, M2 support is an entirely different ballgame. On almost every other drone, there was already an established base of hacks and methods we could use and (with the authors permission) integrate into NLD. With the M2, we ARE the original authors and so it takes a little extra time.
I cannot go into what issues causing the delays were. But we are past them now and well on the way to finishing. Again, im not going to be giving an ETA for a release, because if our internal goal slips again, we will be back at square one with the comments seen here.
As everyone else has said, NLD is the only app of its kind in existence, and very shortly will be the only MP2 modding app in the world. You do not understand the amount of ridiculous long hours over months that have gone into this. But understand this. When it drops, you will all love it. It will ACTUALLY work and theirs many enhancements that we have added that we haven't even talked about yet baked into this release.
Remember also, this is a _development_ blog. What do you want from us? To keep you updated with the very latest stuff were working on with the understanding that the dates, times and plans that we supply are flexible as they depend on many internal factors. Or, we tell you nothing until the release drops so we cant "miss" any deadlines? Why don't you tell me... https://www.strawpoll.me/17800905

Looking forward to the release.
Thanks for taking the time to write us here again with an update.
Aldo, thanks for the straw pull, it's really nice to be heard.
Might I add a 3rd option to updates of updates option? The problem as I see it, is that there are too many unreasonable people who expect your word as a development team to be set in stone but when it slips, they cry like bitches.
Instead, when you make a blog post and drop a date on it for a release. Maybe have a couple of lines dedicated to showing us numbers that reflect the release status.
An example would be :
Remain features to complete = 3
Bugs Blocking = 4
Slip too date = 01/01/2020
Instead of having to write a long, time consuming post to update people in the comments, you simply update the original blog with new numbers once a week.
This would go a long was to silencing the little millennial bitches that complain because of their over inflated sense of entitlement.
Thanks for the information and hope you see some potential in my options...
Everyone else that does understand, as has been said before, we hugely appreciate your patience and understanding!

You know ALL you people have no clue who are asking for this to be rushed "from development/testing/work rounds/can this be done" AND who are offering ideas to help them "which is a great thing".
The hard cold facts...
1.) "THEY" don't have to do this for anyone
2.) The work that goes into this is amazing and "WE" should be thankful that people are willing t do this in their free time and push the "DRONE" to the MAX from both a Software and Hardware perspective.
AND this is by far the biggest thing "WE" all should be watching out for
3.) Tomorrow the FAA issues NEW Drone laws, yes tomorrow. These laws will be far reaching in the fact that "Government/Corporate America" really want to shoot them down OR control them so much that it will be pointless to buy or fly. Topics that will be covered range from what manufactures can put into to drone technology "both software as well as hardware" from a consumer stand point and how they will operate and where, night flying...etc. They are also going to make the fines/penalties stiffer the talk is about in many forums. Gone are the days of the version of Mavics which were modded "THEY" "Government/Corporate America" don't want this ability in the hands of people, more for a security concern then anything else. Name 1 time a "Drone" has killed anyone???
But yet "GUNS" do and we all see this around the world now and here in America there are many states WHERE you don't even have to registrar guns.
Again the control of the "drone" is more for security reasons and has no base in reality.
We should "ALL" watch what we say in any forums as again "THEY" have their people watching and reading everything and this is where "They" get almost all their information.
We should be thankful to these "guys & girls" who are willing to do this. As I believe NLD'z know the stakes as well as the possibilities of "Drones"
In closing I would like everyone to have these understanding.
-keep your business to your self..don't be sharing your life away out in the internet
-keep your mouth shut..the less people know about you, the better off you are
-be thankful that there are "guys and girls" who have the talent to do such things like NLD'z
To the nolimitdronez team, thank you guys for your tireless efforts to get this release wrapped up. I live beside a National Park as well as a retired landing strip so your M2 hack can't come soon enough. DJI makes great drones but fail miserably when it comes to getting NFZ restrictions right. Combine that with the steep geography out here and associated problems with height restrictions, and it makes for a very muted flight experience.
Pre-purchased and ready to fly!
Thanks for hearing us. I'm checking the site every couple of hours for the update to drop.

Posting again as I was classed as guest.
Was thinking that it makes more sense to have an easy place to check for a status of the project, but what would be easier and quicker to implement for these guys in a way to avoid wasting time on things that can be done with a bit of duct tape and a match box.
There site has a blog, anyone who's a customer or fan would know to look there.
Simple and effective.
But one point I think is getting over looked (even in my last posts), people have paid them for something, and so there is a degree of owing for sure, but lets be real here, you know what your paying for, you know what kind of "company" your dealing with.
I will pay when its released, not before, it matters not as they will get the money and it does not change the way they develop it. If I pay only to have the right to complain that its not there yet, then I would be a moronic, unrealistic Muppet.
If you paid in advance, knowing its not ready yet and then complain, I think you deserve to get what you want, a release as it stands at the time of your complaint. Then go out and fly your drone and when it flys away or crashes into a tree or the ground or software crashes frequently, at least you can not complain about being made to wait...
You see where I am going with this...?
Pmsl
But seriously, can I have a clue... Hehehe
Never had an issue with my Mavic Pro after that. I in turn upgraded to I2 and so started the issues even with NLD.
I bricked a CS, DJI FW put my I2 into a almost uncontrollable spin and crash but reading NLD forums on rebooting on the fly saved my I2.
Waiting for 1.9 NLD and I will be here for as long as it takes because DJI and our Government does not give a damn about your expensive hobby.
NLD4LIFE
Without the hard work, commitment, and dedication of those at the helm, we would be still stuck with the crap service and buggy shlock that DJI gives us.
Thank you to every single member of the NLD team for their efforts, and we look forward to some further updates to unlock more possibilities.
A new FW for the M2 is around (1.00.0400). I guess avoiding this update for the moment is a good hint ?
