Hi all,
I have passed this onto the developer for consideration

Do we have a response from the NLD team?

I have been testing this mod and I have to be honest; It makes no difference in my flight tests and range and there is no way to confirm freq or the boost is actually working without connecting a $$ spectrometer. FCC mode is already built into NLD so that is a non-issue. I would really like to see this working and at least some evidence of 2.3/2.5 freq changes or boost. The current mod says to turn on the controller first... I have tried both ways. Makes no diff in range testing. (even have tried various antenna mods / directional and omni)

Also, perhaps most of us fly in a heavy 2.4 Ghz area with WiFi interference being the main cause of connection drops and range limitations.  Ocu-sync is bad-ass tech but not so much that it can fight through the 2.4 Ghz interference from WiFi routers and APs. The real addition to the NLD mod would be the freq 2.3/2.5. Once the freq changes have been made the boost will be more beneficial. Keep in mind that even 2.3 or 2.5 will shift in and out of 2.4 so not a perfect solution. I really wish the RC/AC would work on a completely diff spectrum than that of a common interference source. It is what it is. I do plan to take my drone into the country when the weather gets a bit nicer out; but I am sure stock settings/no mods will work perfectly since they do not have to fight the interference.

Conclusion...
Considering the interference issue perhaps a better choice would be an antenna amplifier to increase range; after all the signal has to overcome numerous .04W interference signals that can reach altitudes of 300-400'. Even a freq mod or boost mod will not be able to overcome the band shifting from cheap residential WiFi routers.

Tip: Stay High (above 300') and Fly safe.
