Since V1.2.1.2 NoLimitDronez allows you to freely modify flight parameters. These are settings that are usually hidden from you as an end user, but are made accessible by DJI.

Flight Parameters control everything that your drone does and essentially is what NLD alters in the background when you change something in the program.

You choose a parameter by double clicking on it. Then in the dialog that pops up choose can change the parameter and save it by clicking the "Update Parameter" button as shown in this screenshot.

There can be hundreds of parameters, so to save scrolling you can use the search function for finding a specific parameter .

Click in the search bar and type in part of the parameters name. The search function will automatically remove those parameters which names is not included in the search query.

As for what parameters to change, please see the following lists
Spark:

Mavic:

Mavic Air:

Some very popular parameters and changes.  NOTE:  if you search and can't find these parameters, that means that firmware doesn't have them. You will need to downgrade to a supported firmware. ( ) are default settings ADVANCED USERS ONLY
#Sport+
g_config_mode_sport_cfg_tilt_atti_range = 40 (35)
g_config_mode_sport_cfg_vert_vel_up= 9 (5)
g_config_mode_sport_cfg_vert_vel_down = -10 (-3)
g_config_mode_sport_cfg_vert_acc_up = 9 (8)
g_config_mode_sport_cfg_vert_acc_down = -10 (-8)
g_config_fw_cfg_max_speed = 20 (10)

#GPS+
g_config_mode_normal_cfg_tilt_atti_range = 33 (25)
g_config_mode_normal_cfg_vert_vel_up = 6 (4)
g_config_mode_normal_cfg_vert_vel_down = -10 (-3)
g_config_mode_normal_cfg_vert_acc_up = 6 (6)
g_config_mode_normal_cfg_vert_acc_down = -10 (-5)

#Height limit disable
g_config_flying_limit_height_limit_enabled = 2 (1)
g_config_flying_limit_limit_height_abs_without_gps = 3000 (30)
g_config_flying_limit_limit_height_abs = 3000 (50)
g_config_flying_limit_limit_height_rel = 3000 (5)

#NFZ disable
g_config_airport_limit_cfg_cfg_disable_airport_fly_limit = 1 (0)
g_config_airport_limit_cfg_cfg_limit_data = 20250910 (20150910)

#Less Wind Warnings
g_config_air_est_big_wind_level1 = 8 (6)
g_config_air_est_big_wind_level2 = 11 (9)

#RTH Speed - Optimal
g_config_go_home_gohome_idle_vel = 13.5 (10)

#Atti Mode (via sport mode button)
g_config_control_mode[1] (fswitch_selection_1) 8 (8)
*Sport Mode Default = 8, 3 = ATTI*
g_config_control_mode[2] (fswitch_selection_2) 7
*GPS Mode Default = 7
Changing either to 6 will add beginner mode on the switch
Changing either to 3 is ATTI so you can either change GPS mode or Sport Mode position.

Return gimbal to level on landing:
g_config.landing.ctrl_gimbal_pitch_to_horiz_enable = 1 (0)
Quick motor start and shutdown :
g_config.rc_cfg_start_motor_verify_tim_ms: 10
g_config.rc_cfg_stop_motor_verify_tim_ms: 10
g_config_rc_cfg_emergency_stop_verify_time_ms: 10

#SaferAutoTakeOFF - increase in height
g_config_takeoff_auto_assist_takeoff_vel = 1 (0.5)
g_config_takeoff_auto_takeoff_height = 2.4 (1.20000004768372)

i have a few questions about param's,  to start is there a reference somewhere that defines what each param is?  most of them i can figure out, and i understand that a 1 represents true, or on. and a 0 is false or off. some settings are totally logical like the speed parameters, or the tilt being the angle, but take for example in the
#Height limit disable
g_config_flying_limit_height_limit_enabled = 2(1)
g_config_flying_limit_limit_height_abs_without_gps = 3000 (30)
g_config_flying_limit_limit_height_abs = 3000 (50)
g_config_flying_limit_limit_height_rel = 3000 (5)

what does the 2 mean? i see why DJI set flying_limit_height_limit_enabled=1. because they want that satemement to be true. so why set it to 2? why not 0? why set limit_limit_height_rel TO = 3000, is that the altitude? and what does "rel" stand for? how did you pick that number, is that just the maximum the board can accept? and how did you know when to shorten the number like in landing height g_config_takeoff_auto_takeoff_height = 2.4 (1.20000004768372)

so, when i try to change
g_config_control_mode[2]=0

it never updates when i click upload to craft it just hangs, ive rooted my mavic pro, do i need to go into adb and log in as root? i can change most settings, but not all, how do i change these?

what file is the params in? do i need to go into adb and set permissions on the file, make my changes then set it back?

Hi David, its possibly related to your firmware level, but i dont know what youre running so cant advise 100%, if you want us to dig deeper, please log a propper support ticket.

You dont need to do any ADB work to edit parameters.

I guess it was the fw, I was running 4.200 when I had the problem, afternoon I posted that last text I took it down to 3.400, flashed it with Dumbledore twice, and it reported the new features, then 3.700 twice, and then I flashed a cherry picked 4.300 minus the flight controller, the nfz and the 905 files  on top of the 3.700. then I tried it again and the mode stuck. So I can fly in manual mode now. But that is for another topic.

Hi,
there is a parameter for Spark to change default frequency from 5.8Ghz to 2.4Ghz? Now every time I change it to 2.4Ghz, next time I restart drone and RC frequency return to 5.8Ghz.
