New M2P owner questions

Just today, I ordered one. Before I take the plunge and purchase the NLD key, I'd like to ask;

1. What is the preferred method to check the firmware version of my drone when I receive it?

I wouldn't want DJI to "force" an update to the firmware without me knowing it the minute I connect anything to the M2P.

2. Does the NLD solution, takes care of all the other drone components needing firmware updates, like, the batteries, controller or goggles?

Thanks.

Hi.
You can check it with NLD. As soon as you connect the machine to the program, it will detect the version.
NLD flashes everything, including the battery.
I did flash my M2 three times because I have three batteries.

I hope that helps.

Really good advice, thanks for jumping in.

Just RE the batteries, yes. Make sure that you flash your firmware, swap to your next battery and then flash the same firmware again to basically update your second battery!
