OK to Upgrade firmware after NFZ patch?

I'm wondering if it's OK to upgrade back to the latest firmware after downgrading to 1.00.01.00 for the NFZ patch. I was thinking as long as I never tap "yes" when asked to update flysafe database, the NFZ patch would still work after upgrading back to latest firmware, but I'm wondering if anyone here knows for sure.

if you are going to upgrade after applying the NFZ patch on 01.00.0100, you will lose the patch benefits.
The correct procedure would be to go back to the patcher, REMOVE the patch to put your bird back to stock for NFZ, then you can restart the bird and upgrade the firmware on it.
Remember that you will lose the NFZ patch by upgrading.
