Does the NLD service work for the Mavic 2 or not?

Hello,

I'm sorry for the stupid question, but I have read through countless threads on this site and am still unable to determine whether using NLD to eliminate the altitude restriction on the MV2 is currently possible. A good amount of the pages/threads seem to suggest that NLD is working on a solution now but there currently isn't a way to overwrite the altitude limit. However, then there are some recent posts by people who claim to have successfully installed NLD on their MV2s. FInally, there seem to be a good amount of people who have been stuck in between and had to replace their drones. Can someone clarify what the current state of NLD is for the MV2?

Depending on the FW version you have, you can unlock NFZ.

Installing FW 01.00.0100 using NLD will unlock No Fly Zones, FCC boost and speed boost.

DO NOT UPGRADE your bird to 01.00.0510 or you will not be able to downgrade/install FW 01.00.0100 via NLD.

If you are running on FW 01.00.0400 or lower, then you can use NLD to downgrade to FW 01.00.0100 and unlock your bird.

I'm running on NLD FW 01.00.0100 without any issue, I do not fell the need of a newer FW, flying since April 2019.

Okay, I see. But altitude limit is impossible to remove?

If my Mavic 2 firmware has already been updated to 01. 00. 0510 I cannot downgrade to a firmware that allows me to remove the no fly zone?

That is correct, until NDL next update which is going at the end
of this month. they need to crack the code.

I would be surprised if they managed to decrypt the firmware for Mavic 2! Will be interesting to see if anything comes at the end of the month, I remain skeptical until I see it!

Worth mentioning is that i have been wrong before but its very rare :)

I don't expect is to be decrypted soon wither, if ever, so I got hold of a brand new m2 with .100 firmware on it. Easier than waiting.
