I've read various posts and I can't figure out HOW to downgrade it, or even if it's possible? I want to make sure I can do that before purchasing the NLD key. Or maybe I need the NLD key in order to downgrade?

You need NLD to downgrade your firmware. However, with your current firmware .0128 you can use the NLD to bypass the NFZ.

Use the NLD App connect it to your bird. Flashing firmware (up and downgrade) is free for all.
