I wonder to buy an inspire 2 but i wonder how far you can fly with the nldAPP installed, which should allow boost or fcc mode. is that Right? Does it work with the inspire 2 to allow fcc mode  and does it increase the range to an usable 2-3  km distance in boost mode?

Sure, but only with 2.4 Ghz (not 5.8 Ghz) and where is a very low radio interferences, around the mountains or small towns.
I can easly fly 4.5km far away and still have a strong signal of 3 or 4 bars and I could go even further for sure.
However I obtain this range not with stock antennas.
Am using the chinese made antennas of the link below, installed on the Remote Controller with, or also without, a couple of 3W or 4W boosters.
Those antennas are directional, have circular polarization, are very efficient indeed, similar of the original FPVLR antennas, a sort of better made clone.
Tested many others, the flat pads, small and large, but I always use these ones, are small and light and they do what I need, also for Phantoms:
