How To Activate NLD

#9 Quote
Some people seem to struggle to install and activate NLD with their purchased license key, please do the following steps if you need help on this.

- Download the NLD client app from the NLD Downloads page on the link below;
https://nolimitdronez.com/download

- Create an NLD folder on your desktop and save NLD to that folder and unzip it in that folder, Start NLD as administrator

- Power on your drone and connect it to your computer with the cable supplied by DJI or another known good, quality cable.

- NLD will change its screen and “see” the drone  Look at the lower left for messages and status

- Click on Activate Bird in NLD then simply follow the prompts to activate NLD and enter your activation key received via email when you purchased.

Use DJI Assistant V 1.2.4, downgrade to 01.04.0300, then use NLD.

Follow the instructions, change usb port, connect and disconnect the bird and nothing.
In the application at the bottom left says:
Device: DJI MAVIC AIR
Board SN: ACTIVATED XXX
FIRMWARE:

I could never access the activation process.

Sorry for my English.

Please help.

I am getting the same exact thing, all modifications are in gray and there is nowhere to input my subscription number.

Same thing here.

After looking into it a little further, I found that the USB driver is failing. No matter what USB I stick it in, it won't register as connected.

During every attempt to make it work, I tried the following once by itself and then added it to the list of things i would do each time to make sure i was starting out fresh (after first 10-20 fails):

- deleted the software
- re-installed the software
- uninstalled the failed driver
- restarted my laptop
- moved to my desktop and tried all the same things there
- tried with different compatibility settings
- tried 6 different USB cables
- disabled antivirus
- disabled firewalls

I believe the problem is with the driver that is trying/getting installed upon the first opening of the software and/or the first time mavic gets plugged in.

It seems to be using a bad generic driver or the software is giving it the wrong driver.

System Info:

Windows 10 Pro x64
32GB i7-6500U 2.59ghz

DJI:

Mavic Pro Platinum
All up to date and current for SW/HW/FW

Driver Issues:

If you are having USB problems and the drone is not being recognized, try doing the following:
disable driver signing in Windows. (google it) DJI uses unsigned drivers and some PC's will not install the driver because of this.  You can also install DJI Assistant and see if that detects the drone.  If that works, so will NLD.

If your drone is connecting and disconnecting in Windows and you can hear the USB connect/disconnect chimes, your drone is stuck in a USB loop.  It is not bricked.  You will need to do two things...run DJI Assistant and leave it open, turn on your RC and leave your drone plugged into the PC...you are trying to catch it during the loop and have it connect to the RC, stopping the loop, then Assistant will detect it and you can upgrade the firmware.

This happens due to a bad firmware flash.

Thanks. I will try this and report back. I haven't ever messed with the drones FW or done anything wasn't DJI official. So this will be my first time on a drone.

I am an RD (Recognized Developer) on XDA and have been for many years. I have assisted with and successfully rooted Android in the past for bounties. I am really excited to check this out and get it working.

My USB is connecting and disconnecting and it is seeing it as a Mavic Air, but there is no way to register and the parameter settings and such are grayed out.
