I thought it was not good running the battery all the way down.

Desperate here so giving it a try. Batteries are alot cheaper than the drone.

This is my understanding as well, but like you say, I'm desperate.

I'm now considering going the DJI support and warranty repair route.  Since this is a problem people have had using Assistant 2 DJI is aware that there is an issue.  They should cover it under their warranty.  I've had assurances that NLD has never caused a warranty issue with a modded drone that they are aware of.

The advice is to get the drone back to .0100 and make sure to remove the NFC patch. Then contact DJI support and tell them you had a problem upgrading the firmware in Assistant 2.  Since it is a known problem they'll likely ask some questions and have you send it in.  Luckily we're all still covered under warranty as they are still under a year old.

I think this was a trick that may have worked with the original Mavic and their hopes were that it might work with the M2.  One of the dev's bricked his personal drone trying to find a fix and tried this as well.  I haven't heard any reports of it working for the M2.

Very lame but its a DJI firmware flash issue not a NLD issue.  We are the unlucky few who had it happen while flashing from within the NLD Client instead of DJI's Assistant 2.  Same firmware, same problem.

Just to let everyone know, today April 25th 2019 DJI came out with a new Assistant 2 for Mavic 2 version 2.0.8  and on the pdf notes it says that this fixes the problem with upgrading the firmware but unfortunately it DID NOT work. I've been trying all morning and the same problem persists I am stuck at 75% with the same error message "undefined 0x02e904"
I was so excited when I saw that release and not I am double disappointed with the whole thing.
